Man dies one week after New Beith crash

A man has died a week after his car collided with a Dodge Ram at New Beith.
Police say a Chrysler station wagon and a Dodge Ram utility collided shortly after 9am on Sunday 23 June while travelling in opposite directions along New Beith Road at Pub Lane.
According to the Queensland Ambulance Service, the 45-year-old Silkstone man driving the Chrysler was hospitalised with “life-threatening head and chest injuries”.
The following Sunday (30 June), police confirmed the man had died the night before (Saturday 29 June).
The Dodge driver, a 56-year-old Springfield Lakes man, was hospitalised with minior injuries to his chest and abdomen.
A 14-year-old boy, who was a passenger in the ute, was taken to Queensland Children’s Hospital with minor injuries.
Police are investigating the crash, and are calling for witnesses or anyone with information is urged to contact police.
