Eight new CCTV cameras with evening vision and license plate-recognition capabilities are established to be installed across Logan.
Cameras like these are monitored by the two Logan Town Council and Logan law enforcement 24/7 for criminal offense detection and are hoped to be a crime deterrent.
The cameras will be put in at:
- Rowan Park (Slacks Creek)
- Cnr Arshad Dve and Wembley Rd (Berrinba)
- Cnr Browns Plains Rd and Wembley Rd (Browns Plains)
- Cnr Nyanza St and Compton Rd (Woodridge)
- Marsden Park (Marsden)
- Cnr Third Ave and Browns Plains Rd (Marsden)

Logan currently has 1400 cameras, one of the major networks operated by a local governing administration in Australia.
The new cameras are funded by means of an $800,000 grant from the Australian governing administration.
The federal treasurer and Rankin member, Jim Chalmers, explained the delivery of the new cameras was evidence of the close cooperation involving the nearby council and federal federal government.
These new cameras are an critical and sensible demonstration of doing the job alongside one another to supply for our local community, Mr Chalmers said.
This is all about building our regional area safer and more protected and earning our neighborhood an even better area to get in touch with dwelling.
